Are there any group help chatrooms, for troubled teens?

devin d asked:

Well, I was wondering if there were chat rooms for troubled teens to talk to other troubled teens about problems. Like a group therapy session thing that you find in hospitals only on-line and for teenagers. I really need someone to talk too but can’t afford a shrink, I live at home with my parents, but everytimme i try to talk to them we end up fighting. I could go to the councilors that they have at school, but there really old, and It would just be nice to talk to some people i can relate too. Is there any websites?

    Try dmlive.com.

The guy who runs this (it’s actually a call-in radio show that I used to listen to all the time) is named Dawson McAllister, and he is really good. He helps troubled teens up to age 24 with anything from depression to abuse to teen pregnancy (just about anything, really). He also has a “street team” who are younger people available to talk to teens. His Hopeline is another place where you can talk to people. The website can explain it a little better than I can. Hope this helps!
