I work at a home for troubled teens, last night one of them spit in my eye. She does have mrsa. I have tried searching for the answer on yahoo but no luck finding anything out. Should i be very worried about getting this infection. I did wash my eye out very quickly.

The most common way to get MRSA is to come into contact with someone who is infected, but that doesn’t ALWAYS mean you’ll get sick.
So, you could become infected, but there’s a chance you won’t. I suggest you watch yourself closely for symptoms and report any to your doctor.

It is possible to transmit the disease by sputum. I would call your doctor, he may want to give you preventative antibiotics…
